There are two types of line detection systems.
Optical line detection consists of sensors (beams) that use an infrared beam and operate separately or in combination. They respond to smoke particles and refraction (inflection of a light beam by temperature).
Thermal line detection is a cable connected to an intelligent mechanism that reacts to temperature rises. The cable, often made of glass fibre or copper, can be several hundred metres long.
For projects that require a line detection system, we refer you to our SK colleagues from Somati Systems. They will provide you with a suitable solution based on their specialty.
