GC Benor-V powder extinguisher

The Saval Benor-V powder extinguishers are excellent extinguishers, filled with ABC powder, which can be used in cars, vans and trucks. The fire extinguishers for vehicles are subject to strict rules. All fire extinguishers carry the special Benor-V labeling and have a limited lifespan of 5 years. The date when the device needs to be replaced can always be found on the extinguisher. So always be vigilant and replace your fire extinguisher in time!

All Belgian vehicles must be equipped with a valid powder extinguisher equipped with the special silver-colored Benor-V labeling.

• The 1 kg variants are suitable for vehicles with an authorized weight of less than 3,500 kg;
• Vehicles with the highest permissible mass exceeding 3,500 kg but not exceeding 7,500 kg must be equipped with a 2 kg powder extinguisher;
• For vehicles weighing more than 7,500 kg, a powder extinguisher of 3 kg must be provided.

The following rules apply to ADR transport. Each transport unit:

• Must be equipped with at least 1 portable fire extinguisher suitable for fire classes A, B and C, with a content of minimum 2 kg to combat any fire of the engine or cabin of the transport unit;
• With a maximum permissible weight of less than 3,500 kg must be equipped with a minimum TOTAL capacity of 4 kg ABC powder;
• With a maximum permitted weight of more than 3,500 kg and less than 7,500 kg, one or more fire extinguishers must be provided with a TOTAL content of 8 kg ABC powder, of which at least one fire extinguisher has a minimum capacity of 6 kg;
• With an authorized weight higher than 7,500 kg must be equipped with one or more fire extinguishers with a minimum TOTAL capacity of 12 kg ABC powder, of which at least one fire extinguisher has a minimum capacity of 6 kg.
